Tricia is patient, empowering, and deeply dedicated to helping others achieve a better way of life. Working with Tricia through Ayurveda has been deeply transformative as my mental, physical, and spiritual health has shifted greatly during my time with her. Tricia bridges the gap between all health concerns and Ayurvedic solutions, offering an invitation of self-compassion as you embark on your journey to self-healing. She is thorough in her expansive understanding of Ayurveda and is able to directly identify, evaluate, and reflect on how to integrate accessible lifestyle changes that are simple and effective. Tricia is consistent in offering her full support while allowing freedom and personal responsibility to do the work. I have found a deeper curiosity related to my physical and mental well-being as a direct result of working Tricia. I am more aware of the needs of my body and now have the incredible tools to work with my body instead of against it. I am thankful for Tricia’s continued warmth and support as I continue my own holistic health journey. I am confident that anyone willing to work toward better overall health can find a true healer and leader in Tricia to help them achieve their goals in a meaningful, transformative, and driven way.

I can’t thank Tricia enough for sharing her knowledge of ayurvedic medicine with me & helping me through my healing process. As we all know that is a never ending journey, but Tricia really helped me over the course of the last 6 months to learn more about my own body. After our very detailed intake & assessment she assisted me in recognizing imbalances that were apparent in my health. These were things I had learned to live with; as no dermatologist had ever asked me a single question about my diet, lifestyle, or stress levels. I’ve grown to understand that what is imbalanced in me will not be the same for other people, but Tricia helped to guide me for my specific issues while keeping in mind what I was willing to try or not.
Going into our consultations I knew a few things- my acne was a symptom of a deeper issue, and that dermatologists have never been able to help me besides offering accutane which I did not want to take. In addition to deeply inflamed cystic acne I had experienced a slow but sure weight loss in the last few years, and overall felt lots of inflammation. Other things I was experiencing included irregular menstrual cycles, harsh mood swings during premenstrual days, and dull skin. Some things that Tricia helped me to learn were also symptoms of internal imbalances included wavy edges of my tongue, white spots on my nails, and red inflamed bumps on my tongue.
Going in my main goals were to heal the acne and gain weight. At the time I had been following a plant based diet, which plenty of people find success with, but it was clear from all of my health-related symptoms my body was trying to tell me something. My muscles even felt tired often, I didn’t feel physically strong. I started to feel this decline in my health rather suddenly in September of 2019, so I knew the root cause was something that had only been a change in the last few years...but wasn’t finding the help I needed from doctors.
After roughly 3 months of following the diet and lifestyle changes individualized to my assessment results I finally started to see my inflammation change drastically. Again, realizing that every body is different, my recommendations were specific to me but included variations of: slight diet alterations, strength-building exercise, lifestyle habits to promote lymphatic drainage, certain essential oils, new recipes, aloe vera, certain herbal teas/tinctures and spices, and keeping my emotional health a priority. Having Tricia already helping me with my health, I also started to see a therapist in February and I strongly believe that tending to emotional needs can help our overall health. There’s been trial and error in the last six months and Tricia was always attentive and kind when I had questions or concerns.
I still have occasional breakouts that are induced by my period or sugar intake- but it is truly nowhere near the level of inflammation, redness, and pain my face experienced previously. I was almost constantly experiencing anywhere from 3-12 active breakouts when I met Tricia. Now, I can confidently go without makeup for the first time in my life, and acne scars fade away faster now. Even during breakouts now, it’s only one or two blemishes. In addition to the skin-related success, I have gained just over 10 pounds in the last 6 months and feel much physically stronger.
Before meeting Tricia I always related exercise to losing weight, and she helped me learn that I can build muscle, drain lymph, and have a mental health boost without losing weight. Now my day feels incomplete without some sort of physical activity. Other improvements include- no more white spots on nails, tongue is not inflamed and bumpy, and literally almost everyone in my immediate circle has asked me in the last few months what I’m doing to make my face be bright and full of life again. It was one thing for me to feel the changes, but to have my closest family and friends see health improvements without me even asking was amazing.
Overall, meeting Tricia was such a blessing for me! I knew that I wasn’t finding success with conventional medical doctors and was frustrated with their lack of thoroughness about what causes acne so severely for some people. I have had experiences where my entire face was so inflamed and painful, crying in a dermatologist's office, only for him to tell me acne “happens” and the only things he can offer me are spironolactone or accutane.
Ayurveda was the perfect thing to integrate in my life, as it is not dependent on western medicine, nor is it 100% dependent on holistic methods either. This is the best balance I have found in life- so few things are strictly black and white, and our health care should not be either. Living in 2021 requires a coexistence of scientific advances and holistic practices, and far too many health resources are strictly one of those things. At the root of it all, we strive for balance which is exactly what Tricia has helped me find through Ayrevedic medicine.
